Cleaning is most done. YAY. Tomorrow my cousin and her ~~slave~~ husband are going to bring up their truck and help us move the stuff we are taking to the storage place and the the stuff we are donating to Crossroads, to Crossroads. I have about 12 boxes for storage plus a desk, a chair and couple stands.

Then I have to come home, sweep my floor and put down the tiles we bought and do some other random cleaning. Then I just wait until I get my Merlin on Thursday :)

I did find the power cord to my Wii and I will set that up on the flat screen in the kitchen-dining-living room area we have. At least for a little bit, then probably put it back in my room.

One and a half more days until I pick up Merlin :) We changed vets and are going with the vet the owner of Merlin's parents (Patrick) go to instead. They are slightly cheaper and are also the only 'emergency' vet clinic in the area. If you have a sick animal after hours, that is where the other vets tell you to go so we will cut out the middle man and just go there for all Merlin's needs. Bought some Purina puppy chow that Patrick recommended and he told us that Merlin was eating the kibble, that he moistens with milk, very well.

I got a cute little harness- I absolutely abhor dog collars, I find them cruel and tough on a dogs neck, even if they are properly trained to a leash. I mean, would you like to walk around with a band of leather or such wrapped around your neck?

I picked up a couple of domain names. I want to get back into doing websites. Been awhile, so I have a lot to catch up on, but it is fun and if I get good enough, it might be a way to pick up some extra money. I know I will start to get more papers from students come the fall semester, but August is a typically a dry month. Last month wasn't that great, only had three.

I should get back to cleaning. My room is still a mess, and I have to sweep and put down the floor tiles we bought for this room. Wish me luck.

It appears LJ is on the fritz again. I keep getting a 'Varnish Error' every time I try to access it. Lovely.

Only six more days until I get to bring Merlin home :) There will be a ton of pictures :) I will be more annoying than that stereotypical breeder that has a stack of photos in their wallet or purse of their spawn. All I have to say is four-legged companions are better than children :P

Already have a nice 'puppy kit' put together. A few different varieties of wet dog food- Chef Michael's that come in tiny little cans and some Mighty Dog- all made in the US. Made in the US, not just distributed by a US manufacturer or produced for a US manufacturer. No chinese dog food for my pup. A few bags of treats, also all made in the US. I bought a couple of toys for him. It is hard to get US toys, but they will all be washed before I give them to him. I did get him a bag of dental bones that were made in Ireland, but that country isn't known for poisoning pets. I'll take the risk. I still have my crate from Max and although we washed it before we put it away, we will wash it again, I bought a nice dog bed to put inside, and a water dish that attaches to the side of the cage. I am going to crate train him for when we have to leave him at home, but for the most part, he will be coming with us :)

We have a vet appointment for the week after we get him. He needs his first round of shots and then four weeks later his booster and about ten weeks or so after that one more booster and a rabies vaccine. I am in contact with a local group that trains dogs as therapy dogs so that I can get him certified.

We are spending the next week puppifying the house. Finishing up the cleaning and stuff. Going to be a busy week.

In other news- I caved and registered at pottermore on the last day. The question was easy enough LOL. I am GhostOak58. Or SandPhoenix74. Hey, what can I say, I like to have options :)

Another DW as LJ is aggravating me and I have a few invite codes left. Far easier and cheaper than renaming LOL. Feel free to add to your DW flist but I'll crosspost to LJ, if it is possible. LJ still is hit or miss with me. Anyway. Have a meme. All I can say is I am immensely grateful it wasn't any of the recent (8 through 11) companions.
